Activists

Military weapons activists are essentially peace activists. They are part of the peace movement which seeks to achieve world peace in a non-violent manner.

One of the largest organisations in the country is the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CMD) which aim to ‘rid of the world of nuclear weapons of mass destruction and to create genuine security for future generations’ and ‘opposes all nuclear and other weapons of mass destruction: their development, manufacture, testing, deployment and use or threatened use by any country.’

What they do:

· Protesting

· Travel to war-torn locations

· Inform people through media

· Work with others to meet the same objectives

Dangers faced by Activists
